ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Project Coordination Intern (Product Focus) will support the product and delivery teams by helping coordinate project activities while contributing to product-related analysis and documentation. This role provides hands-on exposure to managing timelines, tracking tasks, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams, alongside opportunities to analyze user, market, and product insights. The intern will play a key role in ensuring smooth project execution while developing foundational skills in product operations, project coordination, and stakeholder communication within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct market, user, and competitor research to identify customer needs, product gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze product performance data, usage metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to generate actionable insights.
  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and refining product requirements, including PRDs, user stories, and feature briefs.
  • Support backlog grooming and feature prioritization in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
  • Help prepare wireframes, mockups, or process flows to communicate feature concepts and requirements.
  • Assist in usability testing, user feedback collection, and summarizing findings into clear reports.
  • Maintain and update product documentation, including release notes, internal guides, and knowledge base materials.
  • Coordinate project tasks by maintaining timelines, task boards, and progress trackers.
  • Support agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives by capturing notes and follow-ups.
  • Prepare weekly or bi-weekly project status reports highlighting progress, risks, issues, and next steps.
  • Track project risks, issues, and dependencies and support mitigation through clear communication and follow-up.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among product, engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and ensure action items are followed through.
  • Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing by coordinating test activities and tracking defects.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation within shared tools and ensure information is organized and up to date.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance product delivery and team efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. 

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of economic principles related to product development and market research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (or equivalent tools such as Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs).
  • Foundational knowledge of market research methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and competitor analysis.
  • Ability to analyze information and produce detailed reports, summarizing and presenting findings in a structured manner.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating initiative and comfort with uncertainty.
  • Proven teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good project coordination, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to set personal goals and drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand the broader context behind product and project initiatives.
  • Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and confidence to start tasks from scratch and see them through.
